Sebastien provides environmental policy and social science expertise in his role at UNEP-WCMC. Sebastien is supporting the centre’s work in reviewing EU-wide and Member State specific biodiversity and climate change policies in order to enhance synergies between the two. Additionally, Sebastien is conducting work on the communication and data mapping of different biodiversity initiatives such as inputs to biodiversity indicator data and the development of e-learning modules. Sebastien is particularly interested in the relationships and impacts between the social world and environmental change and degradation.
Sebastien has, amongst other things, worked as a campaigns lead for the UK-based climate litigation charity Plan B Earth, assisting in its strategic high-impact climate lawsuits. He holds an MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Governance from the University of Oxford having previously studied Geography and International Development at the University of Sussex.
