Sarah Ivory

Programme Officer | Ecosystem Assessment and Policy Support

Sarah works as part of the Biodiversity Indicators Partnership Secretariat primarily on the organization and delivery of capacity building workshops, as well as the development of online tools and resources to support countries in the development of national biodiversity indicators. She is also involved in other work in support of countries’ National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans.

Previous experience & expertise

Sarah holds a BA in French, Russian and Italian from Sheffield University and an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from the University of Oxford. As part of this Master’s course, she focused largely on forest governance, livelihoods and conservation, and community based natural resource management. Among other positions, Sarah’s previous work experience ranges from working for a marine and coastal conservation non-governmental organization based in Egypt, and behavioural ecology field research in South Africa.
