Mariam supports Climate Change, Business & Biodiversity, Protected Areas and Species Programmes to enhance project management standards, by performing regular assessments of projects according to agreed scope, timeline and budget. Her role involves internal reporting, project and contractual administration as well as implementing efficient process development and training. She provides mentoring on result based management in project design, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
Mariam is a PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environment) Practitioner with experience of developing, managing and sustaining scientific projects and programmes. She has a BSc in Microbiology and a master’s degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London. Mariam has over eight years of experience as an environmental specialist and social enterprise adviser delivering capacity building support on government funded programmes. She joins UNEP-WCMC having worked as a Project Manager at the London Community Resource Network (LCRN) and Consultant at both Hyder Consulting and Ricardo Energy & Environment.
