As Associate Programme Officer in the Climate Change and Biodiversity programme, Juliet provides technical support to multiple projects related to climate change mitigation and adaptation. This includes understanding the application of nature-based solutions to mitigate climate change and conserve biodiversity, and the role of ecosystem services in climate change adaptation.
Juliet has an MSc and BSc in Environmental Sciences, through which she investigated ocean-atmosphere interactions related to climate change and the ocean carbon sink. She is interested in understanding environmental processes and interactions, specifically in relation to climate change and the carbon cycle. Before starting with UNEP-WCMC, Juliet worked on different integrated water resources management projects in the Mekong region, based in both Cambodia and Lao PDR. These included flood and drought mitigation and adaptation, water resources and ecohydrology assessments to inform water infrastructure decisions.
