As UNEP-WCMC’s Communications Assistant Emily is involved in all aspects of the Centre’s internal and external communications. This includes supporting the writing and production of Centre-wide communications outputs and communicating the Centre’s activities via a range of media. She is also responsible for developing and managing website content and supporting the implementation of the Centre’s new development strategy.
Emily graduated from Durham University with a BSc in Zoology in 2013. Her studies here covered everything from molecular biology to conservation and included a field course to South Africa. Since graduating, Emily has spent her time gaining experience in the research and communications field. This has included delivering a sustainability education programme, carrying out research in the rainforests of Costa Rica and, most recently, managing and delivering the visitor engagement programme at an RSPB reserve.
