As UNEP-WCMC’s Communications Assistant, Emily manages all aspects of the Centre’s internal and external communications. This involves writing and producing Centre-wide communications outputs and communicating the Centre’s activities via a range of media. She is also responsible for developing and managing website content and the Centre’s growing online presence. Emily also supports the implementation of the Centre’s new development strategy.
Before joining the Centre, Emily worked for the RPSB where she managed and delivered the visitor engagement programme at a large reserve. She also spent six months as a researcher in Costa Rica, where, amongst other things, her research focused on the nesting behaviour of Olive Ridley and Green turtles. Emily also has experience in the sustainability sector, having worked with a local council to implement their sustainability education programme. Emily graduated from Durham University with a BSc in Zoology in 2013.
