Derek Tittensor

Derek Tittensor is the Jarislowsky Chair in Marine Ecosystem Forecasting & Associate Professor at Dalhousie University in Canada. His current research is focused on projecting the impacts of climate change on marine ecosystems, and the consequent effects on ecosystem benefits and human society. He has long worked at the science-policy interface, including contributing to international environmental processes and reports, and has acted as the primary coordinator for the Fisheries and Marine Ecosystem Model Intercomparison Project (FishMIP). Derek works with UNEP-WCMC's Science and Species programmes on a range of subjects including marine ecosystem futures, biodiversity modelling, and the illegal wildlife trade.
