As a web app developer, Andrea contributes to maintaining the high standard of the projects and tools that the Informatics programme delivers. He achieves this through a dense mixture of agile methodologies, quality-driven mentality, and strong problem solving.
Andrea comes from a different environment, having worked for a Luxembourg-based financial company. He has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Arcavacata, Italy.
The National Reporting Toolkit is an online platform that speeds up the analysis and reporting of environmental data. Joining the developers’ team in April 2014, Andrea works on the second phase of the project, to improve the visualization of environmental data, paired with user narratives.
As the Centre moves towards better impact monitoring, the Informatics Programme has revamped its link visit tracking tool so it can be used by other staff members to track where in the world people are visiting the links sent out via email. Andrea has joined the developers’ team on this revamp, and works to continuously improve the product as it gains more use.
