The overall purpose of this role is to drive and improve UNEP-WCMC’s project development and fundraising performance, providing oversight and co-ordination to strengthen the development pipeline. An important aspect of this role is to oversee the delivery of the Centre’s new Development Strategy, which focuses on improving internal development processes and capabilities and enhancing the Centre’s external profile amongst partners, clients and funders.
Adrian’s career in marketing, fundraising, public affairs, stakeholder engagement and communications has spanned environment and health in the public and not for profit sectors, including the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and most recently the Medical Research Council where he led the MRC Centenary in 2013. He has created and managed many successful and high-impact national and international public and policy stakeholder campaigns and projects.
Adrian is a Fellow and Accredited Practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), a former charity trustee, mentor and local volunteer.
